Service Description
Learn the practice of forest bathing. In Japan, it is known as shinrin-yoku, a Japanese term for forest bathing and simply means taking in the forest atmosphere by mindfully using our senses. The practice started in Japan in the 1980s to counter the burnout and negative health symptoms many people were experiencing—a result of moving from the countryside to the urban environment for indoor tech-based jobs which required working long hours indoors at desk jobs. Well-Being Walks can be outside in a forest, park, or a neighborhood face-to-face or virtually. This method can be modified for indoor nature connection too. Trees give the highest health benefits, yet plants can be used if needed.
